Oh hi blog! Remember me?
I had every intention of posting regular updates, keeping everyone in the loop with what’s going on over on this side of the planet, etc…but now I’m sitting here and it’s the 23rd January already and I realise I haven’t posted a blog in quite a while. Here are my excuses:
- When there’s a lot going on (i.e the interesting blog-worthy stuff) I don’t have time to sit and write it all down;
- When I have a mundane not-a-lot-happening day (and yes, no matter where you live in the world those days will happen) there isn’t anything to report and I’m not feeling inspired to write;

Today’s the day!!
After a mad packing, repacking then packing again session (Laura, Frances and Maria I can not thank you enough!), driving down to London (thanks mum and dad!!!), the annual family Christmas lunch, a zip down to the airport hotel (thanks Mark) an early wake up call and a short bus ride to the terminal, I checked in and made my way to the airport lounge. Why I’ve never done this before I don’t know.

IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAAAAAAAS!!!
As I write this blog…
Well, it’s December and that has to count for something. If there’s one thing Europe is good at – and it’s good at many things – it’s Christmas markets. So when winter rolls around, there’s only one thing to do…and I did it on Sunday. After all, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of the ol’ festivities and this year is going to be poles apart (literally) from what we’re used to!
